Camiñar (gl – en)

Este sábado viaxamos ao norte
cruzamos unha fronteira e varios ríos

pasamos a través de prados
que recuperaran a cor verde
e estradas de aldea estreitas
parando moitas veces 
para non tocar cos espellos

asistimos ao labor dun pastor
guiando con voces inglesas o seu can 
que conducía as ovellas 
ás herbas das ladeiras escarpadas

o regato medrado impediunos
cruzar polas pedras
tomamos unha esgotadora ruta alternativa

choveu unha chuvia soportable
sairon os primeiros cogumelos
cortei un, mira como arrecende!

fixen fotos, das pedras
das fervenzas, do cantil calcáreo
as mellores, as das minúsculas flores

había nubes grises 
e cachos de ceo azul
o día ideal para cos nosos pés
abrirlle camiños ao recordo

Walking

This Saturday we travelled north
crossed a border and several rivers

passed through meadows
that had regained their green
and narrow country lanes
stopping many times
so as not to touch the mirrors

we watched a shepherd at work
guiding his dog with English voices
as it led the sheep
towards the grass on the steep slopes

the swollen stream kept us
from crossing over the stones
so we took an exhausting alternative route

it rained a bearable rain
the first mushrooms appeared
I picked one, look how it smells!

I took photographs, of the stones
of the waterfalls, of the limestone cliff
the best ones, those of the tiny flowers

there were grey clouds
and patches of blue sky
the perfect day for our feet
to open paths
where memory could take root
