Agradezo (gl – en)

Agradézolle á vida as pedras e a xiada
As cicatrices dos troncos feridos
A respiración lenta das plantas
O eterno leito omnipresente do río
As isobaras curvas e pechadas
Por onde me perdo e atopo
O medo ao salto e á nudez
E a ousadía do aire frío no peito espido
A incansable conversa do vento
Cos dedos flexibles das árbores
As pozas que crea a marea
Cando miserable e mollado eu

me arrastrou polas pernas o desespero

Grateful

I thank life for the stones and the frost
The scars of the injured trunks
The slow respiration of plants
The eternal omnipresent riverbed
For curved and closed isobars
Where I get lost and found myself again
For the fear of jumping and nudity
And the boldness of cold air on my bare chest
The tireless conversation of the wind
With the flexible fingers of the trees
The pools created by the tide
When myself miserable and wet
my homeland expands
(I close my eyes and follow the thread of fog
Filling the wrinkles of the earth)
The loneliness where the blind compass is disoriented
I thank you life that even being lost
Unknowingly I was already walking ahead

I close my eyes and ask life forgiveness
For the million and a half times
out in the open ocean, far from this sand
desperation dragged me down my legs

Forgive me life for having lost my footing so many times
For every day I impotently wanted
to give away my destiny, to throw myself into oblivion
like in a lukewarm pitch balm

I thank life for the nails that bleed and the lips that pray
